what is the bikepacking PLAY DATE??
the PLAY DATE is like a big children's birthday party. With bikes. And camping. And a bunch of outdoor-enthusiasts.
It's an event that brings people together over the love of bikepacking, that offers a space to connect and share stories.
It's also a weekend full of amazing bike rides and a few fun challenges - but it's always about fun, not about performance!
The amount of kilometers that will be cycled that weekend will be between 30 and 60 k!
The PLAY DATE is NOT a huge festival, and it's not a race!! It's more a fairly small event for about 20 people that like to be outside, talk about adventure travelling and bikepacking, and are all looking to have a good time.

Is this an event for me?
Do you like bikes and having a good time outside? Great!
Are you looking to meet more people in this scene? Even better.
You don't have to be an experienced bikepacker, nor a very good cyclist to join - beginners are just as welcome!
We're happy to host people with all sorts of stories to tell.
Where & how much is it?
The event is going to be in & around Innsbruck!
The final cost of the event will strongly depend on the location we will have for that weekend. As this is still work in progress, the exact costs will be announced later on. You can calculate with about
≈ 40 €
What kind of games?
Most games will be a surprise that I don't want to reveal yet. Most of them require yourself and your packed bicycle!
To have a rough idea, you can mentally prepare for:
DAY 1 - scavenger hunt to the camping location
DAY 2 - an epic bike ride!
What do I have to bring?
You will have to bring your bike including your bikepacking equipment. As we'll be camping for the night you'll need your overnight gear and pack your bike like you usually would for a bike trip.
If you need any equipment for camping etc. we can of course arrange something for you!
A more detailed packing list will be sent later on.

Meeting point: Innsbruck, 10 am! >> start of bikepacking scavenger hunt to the camping location (you'll need your bikepacking equipment for potential challenges on the way) >> afternoon & evening at the campsite with food, music, stories & voluntary performances ;-)

community breakfast >> getting ready for an epic ride back to Innsbruck!
Making little stops in between, we'll cycle about 80 kilometers today (can be shortened by hopping on a train if you don't feel like cycling that much!) >> finishing at a delicious coffee & cake stop at about 16:00 in Innsbruck
